LSE Alternative Investment Conference
The LSE SU Alternative Investments Conference (also known as the LSE AIC) is an international conference on hedge funds and private equity held annually in London, United Kingdom by the Alternative Investments Society (AIS), a Student’s Union society at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
The LSE SU Alternative Investments Conference is held in conjunction with the Alternative Investments Research Conference (AIRC), which is also run by the LSE SU Alternative Investments Society, and is held annually in London, UK.
==History==
The conference was founded in 2006 by a group of undergraduate students at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and continues to be run by LSE students with the support of the Financial Markets Group. The conference has expanded substantially over the years to become one of the largest international student conferences on the hedge fund and private equity industries. The conference rapidly outgrew the original venue of the LSE, attracting over 6,300 applicants for 350 available places for the 2015 Conference, and is now held at the Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square.〔http://www.lseaic.com/PastConferences/Default.aspx〕
